The article describes a general view of the international sales contract, starting from its fundamental source, to subsequently discuss the current prototypes of this kind of contract. Strong focus will be on the description of the international legal bases of the regulation of international sales, starting from the Hague Convention of 15 June 1955, and arriving to the more recent developments of the subject matter. The text closes with a series of observations and perspectives on a common European sales law.
